Membership

Please join the Association of the Friends of the Louis-Philippe Museum at the Château of Eu and benefit from the free entry offered to members. It is also the best means to encourage the Association whose main aim is to increase the museum’s historical collections.

After payment of an annual membership fee, each member of the Association shall receive an individual annual entrance card which is valid for the named member only.

Donations and Bequests

You may assist the Association of Friends of the Louis-Philippe Museum at the Château of Eu with your annual membership but considering the ever-increasing needs of the Museum as well as the spending cuts of regional and local governments, your assistance could take one of the following forms allowing you to benefit from generous tax relief if you pay your taxes in France.

Cash donations

According to the donor’s wishes, the money is attributed to the purchase of historical objects for the Château collections or to the restoration of objects, rooms or parts of the grounds.

Donations of Works of Art

This opportunity should particularly interest those who own works of art originally found in the Château of Eu or which are related to the history of the Orleans Family or the Brazilian Imperial Family, the Orleans-Braganzas.

The legal conditions of usufruct may be associated with such donations.

Bequests

Thanks to The Geneviève Get Foundation, the Association of Friends of the Louis-Philippe Museum at the Château of Eu may receive tax-free bequests. This foundation manages the bequests made to the Association and receives the annual interest from the sums invested. The Associations makes a point of honour of respecting the conditions attached to such bequests. Bequests concerning works of art cannot be handled by the Foundation but should be made directly to the Association.

The Geneviève Get Foundation

Created by Mademoiselle Geneviève Get (1912-2003), member and donor of the Association of Friends of the Louis-Philippe Museum at the Château of Eu, the Geneviève Get Foundation is an officially registered charity whose mission is to manage the cash bequests made to the Association of Friends of the Louis-Philippe Museum at the Château of Eu. It is authorised to organise the sale of bequeathed goods and property and to invest the money obtained, thus providing annual revenue for the Association. Further donations and bequests are warmly welcomed as they provide a regular and precious source of income.
